Colorectal & Anal Cancers

At Sacramento Colon & Rectal Surgery we are involved in the complete evaluation and surgical management of colorectal cancers.  The evaluation includes a visual inspection of the tumors using a flexible sigmoidoscope or colonoscope.  Transanal ultrasound is used to evaluate rectal cancers for their penetration through the rectal wall and to evaluate for lymph node enlargement around the rectum.

We offer a full range of surgery for colorectal cancer with excision of a segment of the colon with or without the creation of a temporary or permanent stoma.  Our surgeons are skilled in using both laparoscopic and robotic techniques in order to help achieve this goal.

Following the surgery a long postoperative follow up is also indicated and we are involved in the postoperative follow up phase of the patient’s care as well.
