COVID - 19

Your Office Visit During the COVID-19 Pandemic

COVID-19

According to current evidence, COVID-19 virus is spread mainly from person-to-person, between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet) or through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes and from surfaces on which these droplets land. It is estimated that 80% of infections are mild or asymptomatic. It is believed that people can shed COVID-19 virus 24-48 hours prior to the onset of symptoms. During this COVID-19 pandemic we want you to feel safe during your visit to our office. These are the measures that we have instituted for your safety and well being as well as the safety of our staff.

What are we doing to keep you safe

  • All staff members wear a mask in our office
  • When in close contact with you, we will also wear gloves and additional face protection if indicated
  • We practice hand hygiene by frequently washing our hands with soap and water or using an alcohol based hand sanitizer
  • We regularly wipe all frequently used surfaces and objects with disinfectants, especially in the exam rooms after every patient visit
  • We will open the doors for you

Before your office visit

If you have any of the following:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • At least two of the following:
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Headache
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting

Request either a telehealth appointment or consider rescheduling your appointment.

Consult your primary care physician about the above symptoms.

For both your safety and ours, we ask that you, too, cover your mouth and nose with a mask during your office visit.

If you bring an attendant with you, we may ask them to wait outside.

If you have special needs, let us know and we will accommodate you.

To be able to practice social distancing, we are limiting the number of patients in the waiting room.

To prevent overcrowding in the waiting room, we may ask you to wait outside and will call you when there is room available.

What we request you do during your office visit

  • Please use the hand sanitizer provided
  • Please stand at the marked spot when you check in
  • For your protection and ours, cover your mouth and nose with a mask/bandanna during your visit
  • If you do not have a mask, please ask for one
  • Answer the health questionnaire
  • Have your temperature taken
  • Let us open the doors for you
  • Do not touch or lean on counters
  • Please observe 6-foot rule for social distancing

THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING AND WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION
